📋 Program Committees

The Program Committees of the Student Government of Poznań University of Technology are collegial bodies established to carry out specific tasks related to the activities of the Student Government.

📝 Characteristics of the Program Committees

Their tasks include, in particular:

  • conducting ongoing activities relevant to the specific Committee,
  • cooperating with University bodies on matters within the Committee’s competencies,
  • providing opinions on draft resolutions of the University Student Council (URSS) within their area of expertise,
  • submitting legislative initiatives to the URSS.

Program Committees cooperate with each other in carrying out their assigned tasks.

👤 Committee Leadership

  • The Vice-Chair for Teaching and Quality of Education chairs the Committee for Teaching and Quality of Education.
  • The Vice-Chair for Projects chairs the Committee for Projects.
  • The Vice-Chair for Media and Promotion chairs the Committee for Media and Promotion.
  • The Vice-Chair for External Partners chairs the Committee for External Partners.

📅 Meetings and Organization

Regular meetings of the Committees take place at least three times per semester, excluding holidays. There must be at least 7 days between successive meetings.

Meetings are convened electronically (via email) by the Vice-Chair or an authorized Committee member, no later than 7 days before the planned date.

The invitation includes a proposed agenda and is sent to all members of the University Student Council.

Meetings are open, minuted, and approved at the next Committee meeting. Attendance is mandatory and recorded on an attendance list.

Meetings may be accompanied by presentation materials, which are included as attachments to the minutes.

⚠️ Extraordinary Meetings

Extraordinary meetings are convened upon request of the Committee Chair, Committee members, the Chair of the Student Government, or the Audit Committee. These meetings are open, minuted, and participation is voluntary.

📌 Scope of Activities of the Program Committees

📚 Committee for Teaching and Quality of Education
  • providing opinions on projects and decisions related to the education process,
  • monitoring and improving the ECTS point system,
  • adapting the University to the requirements of the Bologna Process,
  • cooperating with Student Research Clubs and the Career and Internship Center, and the Center for Languages and Communication,
  • organizing training for members of the Student Government.
🎉 Committee for Projects
  • organizing cultural and sports events integrating the academic community,
  • coordinating the calendar of student government events,
  • cooperating with the Academic Sports Association and other student organizations,
  • promoting students' sports and cultural activities.
📢 Committee for Media and Promotion
  • promoting the activities of the Student Government and the students,
  • managing the website and social media profiles,
  • creating and archiving promotional materials,
  • cooperating with the University’s Information and Promotion Office,
  • ensuring a consistent promotional policy.
🤝 Committee for External Partners
  • establishing and maintaining contacts with external entities,
  • updating the database of partners,
  • obtaining material and substantive support for projects,
  • organizing training related to cooperation with partners,
  • preparing cooperation offers for companies and institutions.

✅ Membership and Selection of Committee Members

Every member of a Faculty Student Council, except the Chair of the Student Government, Vice-Chairs for Finance, Social Affairs, and Legal Affairs, and the Secretary, is required to be a member of one of the Program Committees and actively participate in it.

Committee selection is made electronically within 14 days of receiving information about the selection process. If a member fails to choose, the Secretary assigns them to the committee with the lowest number of members.

Changing committees is possible once per semester, no later than 7 days before the scheduled meeting of the given committee, after consultation with the Secretary.

The Vice-Chair of the Student Government who chairs a given committee is also its member.
